Catherine O’Grady

Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and holds a degree in Corporate Law (B. Corp Law) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Catherine also holds a diploma in Commercial Litigation and a diploma in Employment Law.

Catherine has a wide range of experience in all aspects of property law including residential and commercial conveyancing and complex conveyancing matters particularly for lenders and receivers.

Catherine has extensive experience in acting for lenders including large financial institutions and receivers on the enforcement and realisation of security including acting in Mortgagee in Possession Sales and Surrender at Point of Sale transactions. Catherine’s experience includes acting for lenders in relation to the perfection of security and in resolving security and title issues. Her experience in this area also includes appointing receivers over residential and commercial properties and providing advice to receivers on a wide range of issues throughout the receivership process, to include advising banks and receivers on their respective powers under security documentation for enforcement purposes.

Catherine is engaged largely in commercial property and secured finance related transactions. Catherine acts for and advises lenders, companies, developers and commercial clients on the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposal of commercial property. Catherine offers sound pragmatic and innovative advice and solutions tailored to meet client’s objectives.
